¹There was the word of Yahweh of hosts, saying,

²Like this Yahweh of hosts said, I envied to Zion a great jealousy, and a great anger I envied to it.

³Like this Yahweh said, I returned to Zion, and made to dwell in the middle of Jerusalem; and Jerusalem will be called the city of stability, and the mountain of Yahweh of hosts the mountain of holiness.

⁴Like this Yahweh of hosts said, Again old and old will dwell in the broad place of Jerusalem, and a man his staff in his hand from the multitude of the days.

⁵And the broad place of the city will fill with children and girls, laughing in her broad place.

⁶Like this Yahweh of hosts said, It will wonder in the eye of the remnant of the people in those days; also in my eye will it wonder? The utterance of Yahweh of hosts.

⁷Like this Yahweh of hosts said, Behold me, saving my people from the land of the east side and from the land of the sunset of the sun.

⁸And I brought them, and made to dwell in the middle of Jerusalem; and they were to me to the people, and I will be to them to God, in stability and in righteousness.

⁹Like this Yahweh of hosts said, Let your hands be strong, those who hear in these days the words from the mouth of the prophets, which in the day the house of Yahweh of hosts was founded, the temple to build.

¹⁰For to the face of those days the payment of contract of the man was not, and the payment of contract of the livestock there is none; and to the one who went out and to the one who came there is no wholeness from the enemy; and I sent every man, each in his neighbor.

¹¹And now, not as the first days, I to the remnant of the people, the utterance of Yahweh of hosts.

¹²For the seed of wholeness, the vine will give her fruit, and the land will give her produce, and the skies will give their dew; and I will inherit the remnant of the people all of this.

¹³And it will happen, as you were a curse in the nations, the house of Judah and the house of Israel, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing; do not fear, let your hands be strong.

¹⁴Like this Yahweh of hosts said, As I schemed to spoil to you when your fathers provoked me to anger, Yahweh of hosts said, and I comforted not,

¹⁵so I returned and schemed in these days to go well to Jerusalem and the house of Judah; do not fear.

¹⁶These are the words which you will make: speak stability, a man in his neighbor; judge stability and the justice of wholeness in your gates.

¹⁷And a man, the evil of his neighbor, do not reckon in your heart; and the oath of falsehood do not love; for all of which I hated, the utterance of Yahweh.

¹⁸There was the word of Yahweh of hosts to me, saying,

¹⁹Like this Yahweh of hosts said, The fast of the fourth, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, will be to the house of Judah to joy and to gladness and to good appointed feasts; and love stability and wholeness.

²⁰Like this Yahweh of hosts said, Again peoples will come, and those who dwelled in great cities;

²¹and one will go, dwelled, to one, saying, Let us go, let us go to ill the face of Yahweh and to search Yahweh of hosts; I will go also.

²²And great peoples and mighty nations will come to search Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem, and to ill the face of Yahweh.

²³Like this Yahweh of hosts said, In those days, ten men from all the language of the nations will take hold, and they took hold in the wing of the man, a Jew, saying, Let us go with you, for we heard God is with you.
