¹I returned and lifted up my eyes, and I saw, and behold, four chariots went forth from between the two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

²In the first chariot were red horses, and in the second chariot black horses.

³And in the third chariot white horses, and in the fourth chariot mottled strong horses.

⁴I answered and said to the messenger that speaks in me, What are these, my lord?

⁵The messenger answered and said to me, These are the four wind of the skies that go forth from standing over the lord of all the land.

⁶The one in which were the black horses went forth to the land of the north, and the white went forth after them, and the mottled went forth to the land of the south.

⁷And the strong went forth and searched to go, to go in the land; he said, Go in the land; and they went in the land.

⁸He cried to me, and spoke to me, saying, See, those who go forth to the land of the north have settled my breath in the land of the north.

⁹There was the word of Yahweh to me, saying,

¹⁰Take from the exile, from Heldai and from Tobiah and from Jedaiah, and you come, you, in that day, and you come to the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, which came from Babylon.

¹¹And you take silver and gold, and make crowns, and put them on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak the great priest.

¹²And you say to him, saying, Like this Yahweh of hosts said, saying, Behold a man, his name the stalk; and from under him he will sprout and build the temple of Yahweh.

¹³And he will build the temple of Yahweh, and he will lift up authority, and dwell and rule on his throne; and the priest was on his throne, and the counsel of wholeness will be between the two of them.

¹⁴And the crowns will be to Helem and to Tobiah and to Jedaiah and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of Yahweh.

¹⁵And those afar will come and build in the temple of Yahweh, and you will know that Yahweh of hosts sent me to you; and it was surely, if you will hear in the voice of Yahweh your God.
