Open wide, O Lebanon, your doors, and let the fire eat in your cedars.
Wail, cypress, for the cedar fell, which were mighty, devastated; wail, the oaks of Bashan, for the forest of the grape came down.
The sound of the wailing of those who shepherd, for their mantle is devastated; the sound of the roaring of the lions, for the majesty of the Jordan is devastated.
Like this Yahweh my God said: Shepherd the flock of the slaughter,
which those who buy them will kill them, and they will not bear it, and those who sell them will say, Blessed is Yahweh, for I will make it; and their shepherds will not spare over them.
For I will not spare again over those who dwelled the land, the utterance of Yahweh, and behold, I found the man in the hand of his neighbor and in the hand of his king, and they will crush the land, and I will not deliver from their hand.
And I shepherded the flock of the slaughter, for so the poor of the flock; and I took to me two shoots, to the one I called Favor, and to the one I called Regions, and I shepherded the flock.
And I hid the three of those who shepherd in one month, and my living being reaped in them, and also their living being loathed in me.
And I said, I will not shepherd you; the dead, she will die, and that which hides, she will hide, and those who leave, a woman will eat the flesh of her neighbor.
And I took my shoot Favor, and I cut it asunder, to break my covenant which I cut with all the peoples.
And it was broken in that day, and so the poor of the flock, those who keep me, knew that it was the word of Yahweh.
And I said to them, If it was good in your eyes, give my payment of contract, and if not, cease; and they weighed my payment of contract, thirty silver.
And Yahweh said to me, Throw it to the potter, the princely robe at which I was valued from over them; and I took the thirty silver, and I threw it in the house of Yahweh to the potter.
And I cut asunder my second shoot, Regions, to break the brotherhood between Judah and between Israel.
And Yahweh said to me, Again take to you the article of a foolish shepherd.
For behold, I raised a shepherd in the land; those who hide he will not visit, the lost he will not search, and that which breaks down he will not heal, that which stations he will not provide, and the flesh of the fatted he will eat, and their hoofs he will tear in pieces.
My shepherd of the idol who forsook the flock; a sword over his arm and over the eye of his right; his arm surely will dry, and the eye of his right surely will grow dim.
