Titus3

Remind them to be subject to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,

to denigrate no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility toward all men.

For once we ourselves also were foolish, disobedient, being deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

When however the kindness and the love of mankind of God our Savior appeared,

not by works in righteousness that we ourselves did, but according to His compassion He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus the Anointed One our Savior,

so that, having been justified by that favor, we may become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

The saying is trustworthy, and concerning these things I want you to affirm strongly, so that those already believing in God may take care to be devoted to good works; these things are the excellent and the profitable to men.

However avoid yourself foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the Law; for they are unprofitable and worthless.

A factious man, after one and a second admonition, reject,

knowing that such a man has been corrupt and is sinning, being self-condemned.

When I may send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to me into Nicopolis; for there I have decided to winter.

Earnestly equip Zenas the lawyer and Apollos, so that nothing may be lacking to them.

Now our own people should learn also to devote themselves to good works for the necessary needs, so that they may not be unfruitful.

All those with me greet you. Greet those loving us in the trust. Favor be with you all. Amen. To Titus, first overseer of the Cretan assembly, having been chosen. It was written from Nicopolis of Macedonia.
