If only someone gave you to me as a brother, one who sucked at the breasts of my mother! I would find you outside, I would kiss you, and they also would not despise me.
I will drive you, I will bring you to the house of my mother who teaches me; I will water you from the wine of the spice, from the new wine of my pomegranate.
His left hand is under my head, and his right hand embraces me.
I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem: how can you rouse and how can you awaken love until it takes delight?
Who is this coming up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved? Under the apple tree I roused you; there your mother was in labor with you, there she was in labor who bore you.
Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm, for love is fierce as death, jealousy severe as Sheol; its fire-bolts are fire-bolts of fire, a flame of Yah.
Many waters cannot extinguish love, and rivers cannot wash it away. If a man gave all the wealth of his house for love, they would utterly despise him.
We have a sister, little, and she has no breasts. What shall we do for our sister on the day she is spoken for?
If she is a wall, we will build on her a battlement of silver; and if she is a door, we will barricade her with a board of cedar.
I am a wall, and my breasts are like towers; then I was in his eyes like one who finds wholeness.
Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-Hamon; he gave the vineyard to the keepers; each one was to bring for its fruit a thousand silver.
My vineyard, which is mine, is before me; the thousand are yours, O Solomon, and two hundred for those who keep its fruit.
You who dwell in the gardens, companions are listening for your voice; let me hear it.
Flee, my beloved, and be like a gazelle, or a fawn of the deer, upon the mountains of spices.
