Romans6

What then will we say? Shall we continue in the sin, that the favor may abound?

Never would it be! We who died to the sin, how will we still live in it?

Or are you unaware that as many as were immersed into the Anointed One Jesus were immersed into his death?

Therefore we were buried with him through the immersion into the death, so that just as the Anointed One was raised up out from the dead through the glory of the Father, so also we ourselves may walk in newness of life.

For if we have become united in the likeness of his death, certainly also we will be of the resurrection;

knowing this, that our old self was crucified with him, so that the body of sin may be annulled, that we no longer being enslaved to the sin.

For he who had died has been freed from the sin.

Now if we died with the Anointed One, we trust that we will also live with him,

knowing that the Anointed One, having been raised up out from the dead, no longer dies; death no longer rules over him.

For that which he died, he died once for all to the sin; however that which he lives, he lives to God.

So also you yourselves, consider yourselves to be dead indeed to the sin, living to God in the Anointed One Jesus our Lord.

Therefore the sin should not reign in your mortal body, in order to obey it in its desires,

neither yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness to the sin, but yield yourselves to God as living out from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

For sin you will not rule over; for you are not under law, but under favor.

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under favor? Never would it be!

Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves to him whom you obey, whether of sin to death or of obedience to righteousness?

However thanks be to God that, though you were the slaves of sin, you have now become obedient from the heart to the form of teaching to which you were handed over.

Now, having been set free from the sin, you have become slaves to righteousness.

I speak in human terms on account of the weakness of your flesh. For as you yielded your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness unto the lawlessness, so now yield your members as slaves to righteousness unto sanctification.

For when you were slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness.

What fruit therefore had you then in the things of which you are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

However now, having been set free from the sin and having become slaves to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and now the end is eternal life.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in the Anointed One Jesus our Lord.
