And when He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in the heaven for about half an hour.
And I saw the seven messengers who have stood before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
And another messenger came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and to him was given much incense, that he will give it with the prayers of all the holy ones upon the golden altar before the throne.
And the smoke of the incense went up with the prayers of the holy ones out of the hand of the messenger before God.
And the messenger has taken the censer and filled it from the fire of the altar and cast it to the land; and there were thunders and sounds and flashes of lightning and an earthquake.
And the seven messengers who are having the seven trumpets prepared themselves, that they may sound the trumpets.
And the first messenger sounded his trumpet, and there was hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was cast upon the land; and the third of the land was burned up, and the third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
And the second messenger sounded his trumpet, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood.
And a third of the creatures in the sea who are having life died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
And the third messenger sounded his trumpet, and out of the sky fell a great star burning like a torch, and it fell upon a third of the rivers and upon the springs of waters.
And the name of the star is named the Wormwood; and a third of the waters became wormwood, and many of the men died from the waters because they were made bitter.
And the fourth messenger sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of the stars was struck, so that their third may be darkened, and the day may not appear for its third, and the night likewise.
And I looked, and I heard one eagle flying in mid-heaven saying in a loud voice: Woe, woe to those dwelling on the earth, because of the remaining voices of the trumpet of the three messengers who are being about to sound their trumpets!
