And I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying like a voice of thunder: Come and heed.
And I looked, and behold, a white horse, and the one sitting on it having a bow; and a wreath was given to him, and he went forth overcoming, and that he may conquer.
And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying: Come and heed.
And another horse went forth, bright red; and to the one sitting on it was granted to take the peace from the land, and that they will slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.
And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying: Come and heed. And I saw, and behold, a black horse, and the one sitting on it having a pair of scales in his hand.
And I heard something like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying: A choenix of wheat for a denarius, and three choenixes of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and the wine.
And when He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying: Come and heed.
And I looked, and behold, a pale horse, and the one sitting on it, his name was the Death, and the Hades was following with him; and authority was given to them over the fourth of the land, to kill with sword and with famine and with plague and by the beasts of the land.
And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slain because of the word of God and because of the testimony of the lamb which they were upholding.
And they were crying in a loud voice, saying: Until when, O holy and true Lord, do You not judge and avenge our blood from those dwelling upon the land?
And to each of them was given a white robe, and it was said to them that they will rest yet a little time, until also their fellow servants and their brothers are fulfilled, and those being about to be killed as also they had been.
And I saw when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became like blood,
and the stars of sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs, being shaken by a great wind,
and the heaven departed like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places,
and the kings of the land and the great ones and the commanders and the rich and the powerful and every slave and everyone free hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains,
and they say to the mountains and to the rocks: Fall on us and hide us from the face of the One who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,
because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?
