A prayer of David.
Yahweh, stretch out your ear, answer me, for I am poor and needy.
Keep my being, for I am faithful; save your slave, you who are my God, who trusts in you.
Show me favor, O Lord, for to you I call out all the day.
Make glad the being of your slave, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my being.
For you, O Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and great of loyal love to all who call out to you.
Yahweh, give ear to my prayer, and heed the sound of my pleas.
In the day of my distress I will call out to you, for you will answer me.
There is no one like you among the gods, O Lord, and nothing like your works.
All the nations you made will come and bow down before your face, O Lord, and they will honor your name.
For you are great and one who does wonders; you alone are God.
Teach me your way, Yahweh; I will walk in your reliability. Unite my heart to fear your name.
I will give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will honor your name forever.
For your loyal love is great toward me, and you have delivered my being from Sheol below.
O God, the arrogant have risen up against me, and an assembly of the ruthless have sought my being, and they have not set you before them.
But you, O Lord, are a God compassionate and gracious, slow of anger and great of loyal love and reliability.
Turn to me and show favor to me; give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your maidservant.
Make a sign with me for good, so that those who hate me may see and be ashamed, for you, Yahweh, have helped me and comforted me.
