Psalms85

To the choirmaster, to the children of Korah, a psalm.

Yahweh, you were pleased with your land; you turned back the captivity of Jacob.

You lifted away the guilt of your people; you covered all their sin. Selah.

You gathered in all your fury; you turned back from the burning of your anger.

Turn us back, God of our salvation, and break off your vexation with us.

Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger from generation to generation?

Will you not turn back and give us life, so that your people may rejoice in you?

Show us your loyal love, Yahweh, and give us your salvation.

I will hear what God Yahweh speaks; for he speaks wholeness to his people, and to his faithful ones; but let them not turn back to folly.

Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so that weightiness may dwell in our land.

Loyal love and stability met together; righteousness and wholeness kissed.

Stability will sprout from the land, and righteousness looked down from the heavens.

Also Yahweh gives the good, and our land gives its produce.

Righteousness walks before his face, and sets his footsteps on the way.
