To the director, on the Gittith, of the children of Korah, a Psalm.
How beloved are your dwelling places, Yahweh of hosts!
My being yearned, and even was spent, for the courts of Yahweh; my heart and my flesh ring out for joy to the living God.
Even the little bird has found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she has set her chicks, at your altars, Yahweh of hosts, my king and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they will praise you still. Selah.
Blessed is the man whose strength is in you, in whose heart are highways.
Those who pass through the valley of Baca make it a spring; also the early rain wraps it in blessings.
They go from strength to strength; each appears before God in Zion.
Yahweh, God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, God of Jacob. Selah.
See, O God our shield, and look upon the face of your anointed.
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand; I have chosen to stand at the threshold in the house of my God, rather than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield; Yahweh gives favor and weightiness; he does not withhold good from those who walk in blamelessness.
Yahweh of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in you.
