Of Solomon.
God, give your justice to the king and your righteousness to the king's son.
May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.
May the mountains carry wholeness to the people, and the hills, with righteousness.
He will judge the poor of the people, save the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor.
They will fear you as long as the sun and before the moon, generation upon generations.
He will come down like rain on mown grass, like showers, drops dripping on the land.
In his days the righteous will bud, and an abundance of wholeness, until there is no moon.
May he rule from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the land.
Before him the desert-dwellers will crouch, and his enemies will lick up the dust.
The kings of Tarshish and the coastlands will pay tribute; the kings of Sheba and Seba will bring near a gift.
All kings will bow down to him, all nations will serve him.
For he will rescue the needy who cries for help, and the poor who has no helper.
He will take pity on the poor and the needy, and he will save the beings of the needy.
From oppression and from violence he will redeem their being, and their blood will be precious in his eyes.
May he live, and may some of the gold of Sheba be given to him; may people pray for him continually, and bless him all the day.
May there be an abundance of grain in the land, on the top of the mountains; may its fruit wave like Lebanon, and may people blossom out of the city like the grass of the land.
May his name be forever; before the sun may his name increase; and may people bless themselves by him; may all nations call him blessed.
Blessed be Yahweh God, the God of Israel, who alone does wonders.
And blessed be the name of his weightiness forever, and may all the land be filled with his weightiness. Amen and amen.
The prayers of David, the son of Jesse, are completed.
