Psalms68

To the choirmaster. Of David. A psalm. A song.

May God arise, may his enemies be scattered, and may those who hate him flee from his face.

As smoke is driven away, drive them away; as wax melts from the face of fire, may the wicked perish from the face of God.

And may the righteous be glad; may they exult before the face of God, and rejoice with gladness.

Sing to God, make music to his name; cast up a road for the rider through the desert plains; Yah is his name; and exult before his face.

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy dwelling place.

God makes the solitary dwell in a house; he brings out prisoners into prosperity; but the stubborn dwell in a parched land.

God, when you went out before the face of your people, when you marched through the wasteland. Selah

the land shook, even the skies dripped from the face of God; this Sinai, from the face of God, the God of Israel.

A rain of freewill gifts you shed abroad, God; your inheritance, when it was weary, you yourself established.

Your living ones dwelled in it; in your goodness, you prepared for the poor, God.

The Lord gives a word; the women who bear news are a great host.

Kings of armies flee, they flee; and she who dwells at home divides the plunder.

If you lie down between the stalls, the wings of a dove are covered with silver, and her pinions with greenish gold.

When the Almighty scatters kings in it, it snows on Zalmon.

The mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; a mountain of peaks is the mountain of Bashan.

Why do you look askance, mountains of peaks, at the mountain that God desired to dwell in? Indeed, Yahweh will dwell there forever.

The chariotry of God is twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them, Sinai is in the holy place.

You went up to the height, you took captives, you took gifts among mankind, and even the stubborn, that Yah God may dwell.

Blessed be the Lord; day by day, he carries the load for us; the God is our deliverance. Selah

God is for us a God of saving acts; and to Yahweh the Lord belong the escapes from death.

Surely God will shatter the head of his enemies, the hairy crown of the one who goes about in his guilt.

The Lord said, I will bring them back from Bashan; I will bring them back from the depths of the sea.

so that your foot may shatter in blood, and the tongue of your dogs have its share from the enemies.

They have seen your processions, God, the processions of my God, my king, in the holy place.

The singers went in front, the players after, in the midst of young women beating tambourines.

Bless God in the assemblies, Yahweh, you who are from the fountain of Israel.

There is little Benjamin ruling them, the officials of Judah, their throng, the officials of Zebulun, the officials of Naphtali.

Your God has commanded your strength; prevail, God, you who have done this for us.

From your temple over Jerusalem, to you the kings will bring tribute.

Rebuke the beast of the reeds, the assembly of the mighty among the calves of the peoples, trampling bars of silver; he has scattered the peoples who delight in battles.

Nobles will come from Egypt; Cush will make its hands run to God.

Kingdoms of the land, sing to God; sing praises to the Lord. Selah.

To the one who rides in the skies, the skies of old; look, he gives his voice, a voice of strength.

Give strength to God; his majesty is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

God is to be feared from your sanctuaries, the God of Israel; he gives strength and might to the people. Blessed be God.
