To the choirmaster. A song. A psalm.
Raise a joyful shout to God, all the land!
Sing praises to the weightiness of his name; set weightiness on his praise.
Say to God, How awesome are your deeds! In the greatness of your strength your enemies cringe to you.
All the land will bow down to you and sing praises to you; they sing praises to your name. Selah.
Come and see the works of God, awesome in deed toward the children of man.
He turned the sea into dry ground; they crossed the river on foot. There let us rejoice in him.
He rules by his might forever; his eyes keep watch on the nations. Let the stubborn not raise themselves high. Selah.
Bless our God, peoples, and make the sound of his praise heard.
He who set our being in life and did not give our foot to tottering.
For you tested us, God; you refined us as silver is refined.
You brought us into the net; you laid a pressure on our loins.
You made a man ride over our head; we came into fire and into water, and you brought us out to overflowing.
I will come to your house with burnt offerings; I will pay you my vows,
which my lips opened wide and my mouth spoke when I was in a tight place.
Burnt offerings of fatlings I will offer up to you, with the smoke of rams; I will offer cattle with he-goats. Selah.
Come, hear, and let me recount, all you who fear God, what he has done for my being.
To him I called with my mouth, and exaltation was under my tongue.
If I had seen iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not listen.
But God has heard; he has paid attention to the sound of my prayer.
Blessed be God, who has not turned aside my prayer, nor his loyal love from me.
