Psalms65

To the choirmaster, a psalm of David, a song.

To you silence is praise, God, in Zion; and to you the vow will be paid.

You who hear prayer, to you all flesh will come.

The words of guilt were too strong for me; our transgressions, you cover them.

Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your courts; may we be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

With awesome deeds in righteousness you answer us, God of our salvation, the trust of all the ends of the land and of the sea distant.

Who set up the mountains by his strength, girded with might.

Who calms the roar of the seas, the roar of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.

And those who dwell at the ends fear your signs; you make the going out of morning and evening shout for joy.

You visited the land and made it overflow; greatly you enrich it; God's channel is full of water; you prepare their grain, for so you prepare it.

Drenching her furrows, pressing down her cuttings, with copious showers you soften it; her growth you bless.

You crown the year of your goodness, and your tracks drip fatness.

The pastures of the wilderness drip, and the hills gird on rejoicing.

The meadows are clothed with flocks, and the valleys cover themselves with grain; they shout for joy, they even sing.
