Psalms64

To the choirmaster, a psalm of David.

God, hear my voice in my complaint; guard my life from the dread of the enemy.

Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers, from the throng of those who work wickedness.

They have sharpened their tongue like a sword; they have bent their arrow, a bitter word.

to shoot from secret places at the blameless; suddenly they shoot at him and are not afraid.

They strengthen for themselves an evil word; they tell of hiding snares; they say, Who will see them?

They devise injustices; we have finished, a plot devised! And the inner being of a person, and the heart, is deep.

But God shoots them with an arrow; suddenly their blows are there.

So their own tongue makes them stumble; all who look on them flee away.

And all humankind feared, and told the deed of God, and considered his work.

The righteous will rejoice in Yahweh and take refuge in him; and all the upright of heart will boast.
