To the choirmaster, over Jeduthun, a psalm of David.
Only toward God is the silence of my being; from him comes my deliverance.
Only he is my rock and my deliverance, my stronghold; I will not be shaken greatly.
How long will you attack a person, will all of you murder, like a leaning wall, a fence being pushed down?
Only from his loftiness have they planned to thrust him down; they take pleasure in a lie; with his mouth they bless, but in their inner being they curse. Selah.
Only for God be silent, O my being, for my hope is from him.
Only he is my rock and my deliverance, my stronghold; I will not be shaken.
Upon God rests my salvation and my weightiness; the rock of my strength, my refuge, is in God.
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Only a vapor are the children of man, a lie are the children of everyone; in the scales they go up; together they are lighter than vapor.
Do not trust in extortion, and do not put empty hope in robbery; when wealth bears fruit, do not set your heart on it.
God has spoken once; twice I have heard this: that strength belongs to God.
And to you, O Lord, belongs loyal love; for you repay each person according to his work.
