Psalms4

To the choirmaster, with stringed instruments, a psalm of David.

When I call, answer me, God of my righteousness; in the tight place you made room for me; show favor to me and hear my prayer.

Sons of man, how long will my weightiness be turned to disgrace? Will you love emptiness, will you seek a lie? Selah.

And know that Yahweh has set apart the faithful one for himself; Yahweh hears when I call to him.

Tremble, and do not sin; speak in your heart, on your bed, and be still. Selah.

Sacrifice the sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in Yahweh.

Many are saying, Who will show us good? Lift up the light of your face over us, Yahweh.

You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and their new wine were many.

In wholeness, at once, I will lie down and sleep; for you alone, Yahweh, make me dwell in security.
