Psalms36

To the choirmaster. Of the slave of Yahweh, of David.

The utterance of transgression to the wicked is in the midst of my heart: there is no dread of God before his eyes.

For he smooths things over for himself in his own eyes, so that his guilt is found and hated.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely, to do good.

He reckons up iniquity upon his bed; he takes his stand on a way not good; evil he does not reject.

Yahweh, your loyal love is in the skies, your steadiness reaches to the clouds.

Your righteousness is like the mountains of God, your justice is the great deep; man and livestock you save, Yahweh.

How precious is your loyal love, God! The children of man take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

They are drenched with the fatness of your house, and you give them drink from the wadi of your delights.

For with you is the spring of life; in your light we see light.

Draw out your loyal love to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart.

Let not the foot of pride come to me, and let not the hand of the wicked make me flee.

There the doers of iniquity have fallen; they were thrust down and cannot rise.
