¹Ring out for joy, you righteous in Yahweh; for the upright, praise is lovely.

²Give thanks to Yahweh with the lyre; with the ten-stringed harp, make music to him.

³Sing to him a new song; play well, with a shout.

⁴For the word of Yahweh is upright, and all his work is in steadiness.

⁵He loves righteousness and justice; the loyal love of Yahweh fills the land.

⁶By the word of Yahweh the skies were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.

⁷He gathers the waters of the sea like a heap; he puts the deeps in storehouses.

⁸Let all the land fear Yahweh; let all who dwell in the world shrink in dread of him.

⁹For he said, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood.

¹⁰Yahweh broke the counsel of the nations; he frustrated the plans of the peoples.

¹¹The counsel of Yahweh stands forever, the plans of his heart from generation to generation.

¹²Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people he chose as an inheritance for himself.

¹³From the heavens Yahweh looked; he saw all the children of man.

¹⁴From the settled place of his dwelling he gazed on all who dwell in the land.

¹⁵He who forms their heart together, who attends to all their works.

¹⁶No king is saved by a great army; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

¹⁷The horse is a deception for victory, and with its great strength it does not deliver.

¹⁸Behold, the eye of Yahweh is on those who fear him, on those who hope for his loyal love.

¹⁹To deliver their being from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

²⁰Our being waited for Yahweh; he is our helper and our shield.

²¹For in him our heart rejoices, for in his holy name we have trusted.

²²May your loyal love, Yahweh, be upon us, as we have waited for you.
