Psalm, the song of the dedication of the house, to David.
I will lift you high, Yahweh, for you drew me up and did not let my enemies rejoice over me.
Yahweh, my God, I cried aloud to you, and you healed me.
Yahweh, you brought up my being from Sheol; you kept me alive from among those going down to the pit.
Sing praises to Yahweh, O his faithful, and give thanks to the memorial of his holiness.
For an instant in his anger, life in his favor; in the evening weeping spends the night, and at morning a ringing cry.
And I said in my prosperity, I will not be shaken forever.
Yahweh, in your favor you set strength for my mountain; you hid your face, I was terrified.
To you, Yahweh, I called out, and to the Lord I sought favor.
What profit is there in my blood, in my going down to the pit? Will dust give thanks to you? Will it tell your stability?
Hear, Yahweh, and show favor to me; Yahweh, be a helper to me.
You turned my wailing into dancing for me; you loosened my sackcloth and girded me with gladness.
So that weightiness may sing praises to you and not be silent, Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever.
