Psalms28

To David.

To you, Yahweh, I call out, my rock; do not keep silent from me, lest you hush from me and I become like those who go down to the pit.

Hear the sound of my pleas when I cry for help to you, when I lift up my hands toward your holy innermost room.

Do not drag me away with the wicked, and with those who work trouble, who speak wholeness with their neighbors while evil is in their heart.

Give to them according to their work and according to the badness of their deeds; according to the work of their hands give to them; return their recompense to them.

For they do not give heed to the work of Yahweh, and to the deed of his hands; he will tear them down and will not rebuild them.

Blessed be Yahweh, for he has heard the sound of my pleas.

Yahweh is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusted, and I was helped; my heart exulted, and with my song I give thanks to him.

Yahweh is strength to them, and he is the stronghold of deliverance for his anointed.

Save your people and bless your inheritance; shepherd them and carry them forever.
