¹Praise Yahweh. Sing to Yahweh a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful.

²Let Israel rejoice in the one who made them; let the children of Zion rejoice in their king.

³Let them praise his name with dancing; with tambourine and lyre let them make music to him.

⁴For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with deliverance.

⁵Let the faithful exult in weightiness; let them ring out for joy upon their beds.

⁶Let the exaltings of God be in their throat, and a sword of edges in their hand,

⁷to carry out vengeance on the nations, rebukes on the peoples,

⁸to bind their kings with fetters, and their honored ones with shackles of iron.

⁹to carry out on them the justice that is written. This is splendor for all his faithful. Praise Yahweh.
