Psalms142

A poem to David, when he was in the cave, a prayer.

With my voice I cry out to Yahweh; with my voice I seek favor from Yahweh.

I pour out my complaint before him; my distress I tell before him.

When my breath faints over me, you know my pathway. In the way where I walk they have hidden a trap for me.

Look to the right and see, there is no one who recognizes me; a place of escape is lost from me; there is no one who cares for my being.

I cried out to you, Yahweh; I said, You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.

Give attention to my ringing cry, for I am brought low exceedingly; deliver me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me.

Bring out my being from the dungeon, to give thanks to your name. The righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me.
