A psalm to David.
Yahweh, I called to you; hasten to me. Give ear to my voice when I call to you.
May my prayer be established as incense before you, the lifting of my palms as the evening grain offering.
Set a guard, Yahweh, to my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips.
Do not turn my heart to an evil word, to practice deeds in wickedness with men who do iniquity; and I will not eat of their delicacies.
Let the righteous strike me in loyal love, and let him rebuke me; the oil of the head, let my head not refuse it, for still my prayer is against their evil deeds.
Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the crag; and they will hear my words, for they are pleasant.
Like one who plows and breaks open the land, our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.
For my eyes are toward you, O Yahweh, O Lord; in you I have taken refuge; do not pour out my being.
Keep me from the grip of the trap they have laid for me, and from the snares of those who do iniquity.
Let the wicked fall together in their own nets, until I pass by.
