To the choirmaster. To David.
The fool said in his heart, 'There is no God.' They have acted corruptly, they have done abominable deeds; there is no one who does good.
Yahweh from the heavens looked down over the children of the man, to see if there is one who acts prudently, one who seeks God.
All have turned aside, together they have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
Do they not know, all those who work wickedness, who devour my people as they eat bread? They do not call on Yahweh.
There they were in great dread, for God is with the righteous generation.
You put to shame the plan of the poor, but Yahweh is his refuge.
Who will give from Zion the deliverance of Israel? When Yahweh turns back his people's captivity, Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad.
