To the choirmaster. A psalm to David.
How long, Yahweh, will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I set counsels in my being, sorrow in my heart by day? How long will my enemy rise high over me?
Look, answer me, Yahweh my God; make my eyes shine, lest I sleep in death.
Lest my enemy say, 'I have prevailed over him,' lest my opponents rejoice when I am shaken.
But I have trusted in your loyal love; my heart will rejoice in your deliverance.
I will sing to Yahweh, for he has dealt bountifully with me.
