The song of the steps.
When Yahweh returned the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with a ringing cry; then they said among the nations, Yahweh has made great what he does with them.
Yahweh has made great what he does with us; we were joyful.
Turn back, Yahweh, our captivity, like the channels in the Negev.
Those who sow with tears will reap with a ringing cry.
He surely goes along weeping, carrying the seed for sowing; he surely comes in with a ringing cry, carrying his sheaves.
