⁰The song of the steps.

¹Those who trust in Yahweh are like the mountain of Zion; it will not be shaken; it will dwell forever.

²Jerusalem, mountains are round about it, and Yahweh is round about his people, from now and forever.

³For the scepter of wickedness will not settle over the lot of the righteous, so that the righteous do not stretch out their hands in injustice.

⁴Deal well, Yahweh, with the good, and with those who are straight in their hearts.

⁵But those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Yahweh will lead them away with those who do iniquity. Wholeness be upon Israel.
