¹I rejoiced when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of Yahweh."

²Our feet were standing in your gates, Jerusalem.

³Jerusalem, the one built like a city joined to itself all together.

⁴There, where the tribes went up, the tribes of Yahweh, a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.

⁵For there the thrones sat for justice, the thrones of the house of David.

⁶Ask for the wholeness of Jerusalem: may those who love you be at ease.

⁷May there be wholeness within your walls, ease in your palaces.

⁸For the sake of my brothers and my friends, let me speak now: wholeness be in you.

⁹For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God, let me seek good for you.
