Psalms11

To the choirmaster. To David.

In Yahweh I have taken refuge. How can you say to my being, 'Flee to your mountain, little bird'?

For look, the wicked bend the bow; they have prepared their arrow on the string, to shoot in the gloom at the upright of heart.

When the foundations are torn down, what can the righteous do?

Yahweh is in the temple of his holiness; Yahweh, in the heavens is his throne. His eye will see, his eyelids will test the children of the man.

Yahweh tests the righteous and the wicked, and the one who loves violence his being hates.

Upon the wicked he will rain snares, fire and sulfur; a scorching wind is the portion of their cup.

For righteous is Yahweh; he has loved righteousness. The upright will see his face.
