A song, a psalm of David.
My heart is steady, God; I will sing and sing praises, even my weightiness.
Awake, lyre and harp; I will awaken the dawn.
I will give thanks to you among the peoples, Yahweh, and I will sing praises to you among the nations.
For your loyal love is great above the skies, and your stability reaches to the clouds.
Be raised high above the skies, God, and your weightiness over all the land.
So that your beloved ones may be rescued, save with your right hand and answer me.
God has spoken in his holiness: I will exult, I will divide up Shechem, and the valley of Succoth I will measure off.
Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is the stronghold of my head, Judah my commander's staff.
Moab is the pot of my washing; over Edom I throw my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.
Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom?
Have you not rejected us, God? You do not go out, God, with our armies.
Give us help from the foe, for the deliverance of humankind is worthless.
With God we will act with strength, and he will tread down our opponents.
