Give thanks to Yahweh, call on his name, make his deeds known among the peoples.
Sing to him, make music to him, speak of all his wonders.
Praise in his holy name; let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
Seek Yahweh and his strength; search out his face continually.
Remember his wonders that he did, his signs and the justice of his mouth,
O seed of Abraham his slave, children of Jacob his chosen ones.
He is Yahweh our God; his justice is in all the land.
He has remembered his covenant forever, the word he commanded for a thousand generations,
which he cut with Abraham, and his oath to Isaac.
He made it stand for Jacob as a statute, for Israel as a covenant forever,
saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan, the measured share of your inheritance.
When they were few men in number, a mere few, and sojourners in it,
they went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
He let no one oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account:
Do not touch my anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.
He called a famine on the land; he broke every staff of bread.
He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold as a slave.
They afflicted his foot with shackles; iron entered his being.
Until the time his word came, the utterance of Yahweh refined him.
The king sent and untied him, the ruler of peoples, and loosed him.
He set him as lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions,
to bind his officials as his own being wills, and to make his elders wise.
Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
He made his people very fruitful and made them mightier than their foes.
He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal craftily with his slaves.
He sent Moses his slave, Aaron whom he had chosen.
They set among them the words of his signs and wonders in the land of Ham.
He sent darkness and made it dark, and they did not rebel against his word.
He turned their waters into blood and caused their fish to die.
Their land swarmed with frogs, in the rooms of their kings.
He said, and the swarm came, gnats in all their borders.
He set their rains as hail, flames of fire in their land.
He struck their vine and their fig tree, and broke the trees of their borders.
He said, and the locust came, and the young locust, without number.
It ate all the grass in their land, and ate the fruit of their ground.
He struck every firstborn in their land, the beginning of all their strength.
He brought them out with silver and gold, and none among his tribes stumbled.
Egypt was glad when they went out, for dread of them had fallen upon the Egyptians.
He spread abroad a cloud as a screen, and fire to make shine the night.
He asked, and he brought quail, and satisfied them with bread of the skies.
He opened a rock, and waters flowed; they went through the dry regions like a river.
For he remembered his holy word to Abraham his slave.
He brought out his people with joy, his chosen ones with a ringing cry.
He gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the toil of the peoples,
so that they might keep his statutes and observe his instructions. Praise Yahweh.
