The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous trust like a young lion.
By the transgression of a land its officials are many, but by a person who discerns and knows, so it will continue long.
A man who is poor and oppresses the weak is a rain that sweeps away, and there is no food.
Those who forsake instruction praise the wicked, but those who keep instruction stir up strife with them.
Evil people do not discern justice, but those who seek Yahweh discern everything.
Better a poor person who walks in his integrity than one perverse in two ways, though he is rich.
One who keeps instruction is a discerning son, but one who associates with gluttons shames his father.
One who increases his wealth by interest and profit gathers it for one who shows favor to the poor.
One who turns aside his ear from hearing instruction, even his prayer is an abomination.
One who leads the upright astray in an evil way will fall, he himself, in his own pit, but the blameless will inherit good.
A rich man is wise in his own eyes, but a poor man who discerns will search him out.
When the righteous exult, there is great splendor, but when the wicked rise, everyone is searched for.
One who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but one who confesses and forsakes them, people will have compassion on him.
Blessed is the person who is in dread always, but one who hardens his heart will fall into misery.
A growling lion and a bear rushing about is a wicked ruler over a poor people.
A ruler lacking in understanding is, and abounding in extortions, but one who hates unjust gain will prolong his days.
A person oppressed by the blood of a being will flee to the pit; let no one lay hold of him.
One who walks blamelessly will be saved, but one crooked in two ways will fall at once.
One who tills his ground will be satisfied with food, but one who pursues empty things will be satisfied with poverty.
A person of steadiness abounds in blessings, but one who hastens to grow rich will not go unpunished.
To regard faces is not good, yet for a morsel of food a man will rebel.
A man of an evil eye rushes after wealth, and does not know that want will come to him.
One who reproves a person will afterward find favor, more than one who makes smooth the tongue.
One who robs his father and his mother and says, “There is no transgression,” is a companion of a man who destroys.
One wide of being stirs up conflict, but one who relies on Yahweh will be made fat.
The one who trusts in his own heart, he is a fool; but the one who walks in wisdom, he will escape.
One who gives to the poor has no lack, but one who hides his eyes has many curses.
When the wicked rise, people hide themselves, but when they perish, the righteous increase.
