Proverbs21

The heart of a king is streams of water in the hand of Yahweh; he turns it toward whatever he desires.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but Yahweh weighs hearts.

To do righteousness and justice is chosen by Yahweh over sacrifice.

Lofty eyes and a wide heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin.

The plans of the diligent tend only toward abundance, but everyone who is hasty goes only toward need.

The acquiring of treasures by a tongue of falsehood is a vapor driven about, among seekers of death.

The violence of the wicked will drag them away, for they refused to do justice.

Crooked is the way of a guilty man, but the pure one's work is straight.

Better to dwell on a corner of a roof than with a woman of contentions in a shared house.

The being of a wicked person craves evil; his neighbor is shown no favor in his eyes.

When a mocker is punished, the naive one becomes wise; and when one gives insight to the wise, he takes knowledge.

The righteous one considers the house of the wicked, overturning the wicked into misery.

One who shuts his ear from the cry of the poor, he also will call out and not be answered.

A gift in secret subdues anger, and a bribe in the bosom, fierce rage.

To do justice is a gladness to the righteous, but a terror to those who do iniquity.

A person wandering from the way of insight will rest in the assembly of the shades.

A man of need is one who loves gladness; one who loves wine and oil will not gain riches.

The wicked one is a ransom for the righteous, and one who acts treacherously, in place of the upright.

Better to dwell in a land of wilderness than with a woman of strife and vexation.

Desirable treasure and oil are in the dwelling of the wise, but a fool of a man swallows it down.

One who pursues righteousness and loyal love will find life, righteousness, and weightiness.

A wise one goes up against a city of the mighty and brings down the strength of its security.

One who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps his being from distress.

Insolent, arrogant, mocker is his name; he acts in an overflow of presumption.

The longing of the sluggish one kills him, for his hands refuse to act.

All day long he craves and craves, but the righteous one gives and does not hold back.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with a scheme.

A witness of lies will perish, but a man who listens will speak continually.

A wicked man shows boldness with his face, but the upright one himself discerns his way.

There is no wisdom, no understanding, and no counsel that stands against Yahweh.

A horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory belongs to Yahweh.
