Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than one twisted in his lips, and he is a fool.
Also, for a being to be without knowledge is not good, and one who hurries with the feet misses the path.
The foolishness of a man twists his way, and his heart rages against Yahweh.
Wealth adds many friends, but a poor man is separated from his friend.
A witness of falsehoods will not go unpunished, and one who breathes out lies will not escape.
Many entreat the face of a generous one, and everyone is a friend to the man of gifts.
All the brothers of a poor man hate him; how much more do his friends keep far from him! One who pursues words, they are his.
One who acquires heart loves his own being; one who keeps understanding will find good.
A witness of falsehoods will not go unpunished, and one who breathes out lies will perish.
Luxury is not suitable for a fool; how much less for a slave to rule over officials.
The insight of a man makes his anger long, and his splendor is to pass over a transgression.
The rage of a king is a growling like a young lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass.
A foolish son is destruction to his father, and a wife's quarrels are a continual dripping.
House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers, but a wife who acts wisely is from Yahweh.
Sluggishness casts into deep sleep, and a deceitful being goes hungry.
One who keeps the commandment keeps his being; one who despises his ways will die.
One who shows favor to the poor lends to Yahweh, and what he dealt out, he will repay to him.
Discipline your son, for there is hope, and do not lift up your being to put him to death.
One of great rage bears a fine; for if you rescue him, you will have to do it again.
Listen to counsel and accept discipline, so that you may become wise in your latter end.
Many are the plans in the heart of a man, but the counsel of Yahweh, that is what will stand.
The delight of a man is his loyal love, and better is a poor man than a man of lies.
The fear of Yahweh is for life; satisfied, one will spend the night and not be visited by evil.
The sluggish one buries his hand in the dish, and will not even return it to his mouth.
Strike a mocker, and the naive will become shrewd; reprove a discerning one, and he will understand knowledge.
One who assaults a father and drives away a mother is a son who brings shame and displays shame.
Cease, my son, to hear discipline only to stray from the words of knowledge.
A worthless witness mocks justice, and the mouth of the wicked swallows down iniquity.
Judgments are made ready for mockers, and blows for the back of fools.
