Proverbs14

The wise of women builds her house, but foolishness tears it down with her hands.

One who walks in his uprightness fears Yahweh, but one who is crooked of his ways despises him.

In the mouth of the fool is a shoot of pride, but the lips of the wise guard them.

Where there are no cattle the feeding trough is clean, but an abundance of yield comes by the strength of the ox.

A faithful witness does not tell lies, but a witness of falsehood breathes out lies.

A mocker seeks wisdom, and there is none, but knowledge is light to one who discerns.

Go from before a foolish man, for you have not known lips of knowledge.

Fools mock at guilt, but among the upright there is goodwill.

The heart knows the bitterness of its own being, and in its gladness a stranger does not share.

The house of the wicked will be wiped out, but the tent of the upright will bud.

There is a way that is upright before the face of a man, but its latter end is the ways of death.

Even in laughter the heart aches, and the latter end of gladness is grief.

One whose heart moves away is sated with his own ways, and a good man from within himself.

A naive person believes every word, but a shrewd one considers his step.

The wise one fears and turns aside from evil, but the fool is arrogant and trusting.

One short of anger does foolishness, and a man of schemes is hated.

The naive inherit foolishness, but the shrewd are crowned with knowledge.

The evil bow down before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

Even by his neighbor the poor one is hated, but those who love the rich are many.

One who despises his neighbor sins, but one who shows favor to the humble: how happy is he!

Do they not wander about, those who devise evil? But loyal love and stability are for those who devise good.

In all toil there is gain, but the word of the lips leads only to need.

The crown of the wise is their wealth; the foolishness of fools is foolishness.

A witness of stability delivers beings, but one who breathes out lies is deceit.

In the fear of Yahweh is the security of strength, and for his sons there will be a refuge.

The fear of Yahweh is a spring of life, to turn one aside from the traps of death.

In the multitude of the people is the splendor of a king, but in the lack of a people is the ruin of a potentate.

One slow of anger is great in understanding, but one short of breath lifts up foolishness.

A heart of healing is the life of the flesh, but jealousy is the rot of the bones.

One who oppresses the poor reproaches his maker, but one who shows favor to the needy honors him.

In his evil the wicked is thrust down, but the righteous takes refuge in his death.

In the heart of a discerning one wisdom rests, but in the midst of fools it is made known.

Righteousness makes a nation high, but the loyal love of peoples is sin.

The favor of a king belongs to a servant who acts wisely, but his fury is toward one who acts shamefully.
