Proverbs12

One who loves discipline loves knowledge, but one who hates rebuke is brutish.

The good obtains favor from Yahweh, but the man of schemes he declares guilty.

A man is not established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous is not shaken.

A woman of strength is the crown of her husband, but she who acts shamefully is like rot in his bones.

The thoughts of the righteous are justice; the steering of the wicked is deceit.

The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the mouth of the upright delivers them.

The wicked are overturned, and they are no more, but the house of the righteous stands.

A man is praised according to his insight, but the perverted of heart becomes contempt.

Better is one lightly esteemed who has a servant than one who honors himself and lacks food.

The righteous knows the being of his livestock, but the compassions of the wicked are cruel.

One who works his ground is satisfied with food, but one who chases empty things lacks heart.

The wicked desires the net of evil people, but the root of the righteous yields.

In the transgression of the lips is an evil snare, but the righteous comes out of distress.

From the fruit of a man's mouth he is satisfied with good, and the dealing of a man's hands is repaid to him.

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but one who listens to counsel is wise.

A fool's vexation is known that very day, but one who covers shame is shrewd.

One who breathes out steadiness declares righteousness, but a witness of lies speaks deceit.

There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the wise is healing.

A lip of truth is established forever, but a tongue of falsehood lasts only a wink.

Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but for those who counsel wholeness there is gladness.

No trouble at all befalls the righteous, but the wicked are full of evil.

Lips of falsehood are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who act with steadiness are his pleasure.

A shrewd man conceals knowledge, but the heart of fools calls out foolishness.

The hand of the diligent rules, but remissness becomes forced labor.

Worry in the heart of a man bows it down, but a good word makes it glad.

The righteous guides his friend, but the way of the wicked misleads them.

Slackness does not catch its game, but a man's wealth is precious: it is the diligent one's.

In the path of righteousness is life, and in the way of its pathway there is no death.
