Scales of deceit are the abomination of Yahweh, but a complete stone is his pleasure.
When presumption comes, shame comes too; but with the humble is wisdom.
The integrity of the upright leads them, but the crookedness of the betrayers devastates them.
Wealth does not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
The righteousness of the blameless makes his way straight, but by his wickedness the wicked falls.
The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but by their own desire the betrayers are caught.
When a wicked man dies, hope is lost, and the expectation of vigor has perished.
The righteous is delivered from distress, and the wicked comes in his place.
With his mouth the godless ruins his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous are delivered.
When it goes well with the righteous, the city exults, and when the wicked perish, there is a ringing cry.
By the blessing of the upright a town is raised high, but by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down.
One who despises his neighbor lacks heart, but a man of understanding keeps silent.
One who goes about as a slanderer uncovers a secret, but the faithful of breath conceals a word.
Where there is no steering, a people falls, but deliverance is in the multitude of advisers.
He who stands surety for a stranger will surely suffer evil, but one who hates striking hands is trusting.
A woman of favor lays hold of weightiness, and the ruthless take hold of wealth.
A man of loyal love deals bountifully with his being, but the cruel one troubles his flesh.
The wicked makes wages of falsehood, but one who sows righteousness gets wages of stability.
So righteousness is for life, but one who pursues evil is for his own death.
Those twisted of heart are the abomination of Yahweh, but those blameless of way are his pleasure.
Be sure of it: the evil person will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will escape.
A ring of gold in the nose of a pig is a beautiful woman who turns aside from taste.
The delight of the righteous is only good; the hope of the wicked is wrath.
There is one who scatters and is increased still more, but one who withholds from uprightness comes only to need.
A being of blessing will be made fat, and one who gives water will also himself be given water.
One who withholds grain, the peoples curse him, but a blessing is on the head of one who sells grain.
One who diligently seeks good searches for favor, but as for one who carefully seeks evil, it will come to him.
One who trusts in his wealth, he will fall, but the righteous will bud like leaves.
One who troubles his household will inherit breath, and the fool will be a slave to the wise of heart.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and one who takes beings is wise.
Look, the righteous is repaid in the land; how much more the wicked and the one who sins!
