Paul and Timothy, slaves of the Anointed One Jesus, to all the holy ones in the Anointed One Jesus who are in Philippi, with the overseers and deacons:
Favor to you and wholeness from God our Father and the Lord Jesus the Anointed One.
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
always in every supplication of mine for you all, with joy making the supplication,
for your partnership in the good news from the first day until the now;
having been persuaded of this very thing, that the One having begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of the Anointed One Jesus;
even as it is right for me to feel this about you all, since I have you in the heart, both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the good news, you all being fellow partakers with me of favor.
For God is my Witness how I long after you all in the affection of the Anointed One Jesus.
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment,
for you to approve the things being excellent, so that you may be pure and blameless unto the day of the Anointed One,
filled with the fruit of righteousness that is through Jesus the Anointed One, to the glory and praise of God.
Now I want you to know, brothers, that the things concerning me have really turned out to the advancement of the good news,
so as for my chains to have become clearly known in the Anointed One in all the palace guard and to all the rest,
and the most of the brothers in the Lord, already trusting by my chains, more abundantly dare fearlessly to speak the word of God.
Some indeed even from envy and strife, however some also from goodwill, are proclaiming the Anointed One —
the ones indeed out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the good news;
however the ones out of selfish ambition are proclaiming the Anointed One not purely, supposing to add tribulation to my chains.
What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretext or in truth, the Anointed One is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice.
For I know that this will turn out for me to deliverance through your prayer and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus the Anointed One,
according to the earnest expectation and my hope that in no thing I will be ashamed, but in all boldness, as always also now, the Anointed One will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death.
For to me, to live is the Anointed One, and to die is gain.
However if I am to live in flesh, this is for me the fruit of labor; and what I will choose I know not!
Now I am pressed between the two, having the longing to depart and to be with the Anointed One, for it is much better;
but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.
And having been persuaded of this, I know that I will remain and will continue with you all, for your progress and joy of the trust,
so that your boasting may abound to the Anointed One Jesus in me, through my coming again to you.
Only conduct yourselves worthily of the good news of the Anointed One, so that whether when I had come and had seen you, or being absent I shall hear the things concerning you, that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the trust of the good news,
and being frightened in nothing by those who oppose you, which is to them indeed a demonstration of destruction, however to you of salvation, and this from God;
for to you it has been granted the thing concerning the Anointed One, not only to trust in Him, but also to suffer concerning Him,
having the same conflict such as you saw in me and now hear of in me.
