¹And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²Command the children of Israel, and say to them: When you are coming into the land of Canaan—this is the land that will fall to you as an inheritance, the land of Canaan, by its borders.

³And the south corner will be yours from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and the south boundary will be yours from the end of the Salt Sea eastward.

⁴And the boundary will turn for you from the south of the Ascent of Scorpions and pass on to Zin, and its extremities will be from the south of Kadesh-barnea; and it will go out to Hazar-addar and pass on to Azmon.

⁵And the boundary will turn from Azmon to the wadi of Egypt, and its extremities will be at the sea.

⁶And the western boundary will be yours: the Great Sea and its boundary. This will be your western boundary.

⁷And this will be your north boundary: from the Great Sea, you will mark out for yourselves Mount Hor.

⁸From Mount Hor you will mark out the line to where you come in to Hamath, and the extremities of the boundary will be at Zedad,

⁹and the boundary will go out to Ziphron, and its extremities will be at Hazar-enan; this will be your north boundary.

¹⁰And you will mark out for yourselves the east boundary from Hazar-enan to Shepham.

¹¹And the boundary will go down from Shepham to Riblah, east of Ain; and the boundary will go down and touch the shoulder of the Sea of Kinnereth on the east.

¹²And the boundary will go down to the Jordan, and its extremities will be the Sea of Salt. This will be your land by its borders all around.

¹³And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: This is the land that you will inherit by lot, which Yahweh has commanded to give to the nine tribes and the half tribe.

¹⁴For the tribe of the children of the Reubenites, by the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of the Gadites, by the house of their fathers, and the half tribe of Manasseh have taken their inheritance.

¹⁵The two tribes and the half tribe have taken their inheritance on the far side of the Jordan by Jericho, to the east, toward the sunrise.

¹⁶And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁷These are the names of the men who will take possession of the land for you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.

¹⁸And you will take one prince, one prince from each tribe, to take possession of the land.

¹⁹And these are the names of the men: for the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

²⁰and for the tribe of the children of Shimon, Shemuel son of Ammihud;

²¹for the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

²²and for the tribe of the children of Dan, a prince, Bukki son of Jogli;

²³for the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, a prince, Hanniel son of Ephod;

²⁴and for the tribe of the children of Ephraim, a prince, Kemuel son of Shiphtan;

²⁵and for the tribe of the children of Zebulun, a prince, Elizaphan son of Parnach;

²⁶and for the tribe of the children of Issachar, a prince, Paltiel son of Azzan;

²⁷and for the tribe of the children of Asher, a prince, Ahihud son of Shelomi;

²⁸and for the tribe of the children of Naphtali, a prince, Pedahel son of Ammihud.

²⁹These are those whom Yahweh commanded to distribute inheritances to the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
