Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:
This is the statute of the instruction that Yahweh commanded, saying: Speak to the children of Israel, that they fetch you a heifer, red, sound, in which there is no blemish, on which a yoke has not gone up.
And you will give it to Eleazar the priest, and he will bring out it outside the camp, and one will slaughter it before his face.
And Eleazar the priest will take some of her blood with his finger, and will spatter some of it seven times in front of the face of the tent of meeting.
And one will burn the heifer before his eyes: her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, along with her dung, he will burn.
And the priest will take cedar wood, and hyssop, and the scarlet of the worm, and throw them into the middle of the burning of the heifer.
And the priest will wash his garments, and wash his flesh in water, and afterward he will come into the camp; and the priest will be unclean until the evening.
And the one who burns it will wash his garments in water, and wash his flesh in water, and will be unclean until the evening.
And a clean man will gather up the ashes of the heifer and lay them down outside the camp in a clean place; and it will be for the congregation of the children of Israel as a charge, for the water of impurity: it is sin.
And the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer will wash his garments and be unclean until the evening; and it will be for the children of Israel and for the sojourner who sojourns in their midst as a statute forever.
The one who touches the dead of any human being will be unclean seven days.
He will purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he will be clean; but if he does not purify himself on the third day, then on the seventh day he will not be clean.
Everyone who touches the dead, the being of the human who dies, and does not purify himself, has made the dwelling place of Yahweh unclean; that being will be cut off from Israel. Because the water of impurity was not sprinkled on him, he will be unclean; his uncleanness is still on him.
This is the instruction: when a man dies in a tent, everyone who goes into the tent, and everyone who is in the tent, will be unclean seven days.
And every open vessel that has no lid of cord on it is unclean.
And everyone who touches one slain by the sword on the face of the field, or a dead one, or the bone of a human, or a grave, will be unclean seven days.
And they will take for the unclean person some of the dust of the burning of the sin, and one will put living water on it into a vessel.
And a clean man will take hyssop and dip it in the water, and will spatter it on the tent and on all the vessels and on the beings who were there, and on the one who touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave.
And the clean one will spatter on the unclean one on the third day and on the seventh day, and will purify him on the seventh day; and he will wash his garments, and wash in water, and be clean at evening.
And a man who becomes unclean, and does not purify himself, that being will be cut off from the midst of the company, because he has made unclean the sanctuary of Yahweh; the water of impurity was not sprinkled on him, he is unclean.
And it will be for them a statute forever; and the one who spatters the water of impurity will wash his garments, and the one who touches the water of impurity will be unclean until the evening.
And everything that the unclean one touches it will be unclean, and the being who touches it will be unclean until the evening.
