Numbers15

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: When you come into the land of your dwelling places, which I am giving you,

and you make a fire offering to Yahweh, a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to make a special vow, or as a free offering, or at your appointed times, to make a soothing odor to Yahweh, from the cattle or from the flock.

then the one who brings near his offering to Yahweh shall bring near a grain offering: a tenth of flour, mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil.

And wine for the drink offering, a fourth of a hin, you shall make with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

Or for the ram you shall make a grain offering: two tenths of flour, mixed with a third of a hin of oil.

And wine for the drink offering, a third of a hin, you shall bring near, a soothing odor to Yahweh.

And if you offer a young one of the herd as a burnt offering, or as a sacrifice to make a special vow, or as peace offerings to Yahweh.

Then he is to bring near, with the young one of the herd, a grain offering of fine flour, three tenths mixed with oil, half a hin.

And wine you are to bring near for the drink offering, half a hin, a fire offering of soothing scent to Yahweh.

Thus it is to be done for each ox, or for each ram, or for one of the flock, among the lambs or among the goats.

According to the number that you offer, so you are to do for each one, according to their number.

Every native-born person is to do these things in this way, in bringing near a fire offering of soothing scent to Yahweh.

And if a sojourner stays with you, or one who is in your midst throughout your generations, and offers a fire offering of soothing scent to Yahweh, as you do, so he is to do.

As for the assembly, there is one statute for you and for the sojourner who stays, a statute forever throughout your generations; as you are, so the sojourner is to be before the face of Yahweh.

One instruction and one justice are to belong to you and to the sojourner who stays with you.

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying:

Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When you come into the land where I am bringing you,

then, when you eat from the food of the land, you are to offer up a contribution to Yahweh.

The first of your dough, a cake, you are to offer up as a contribution; like the contribution of the threshing floor, so you are to offer it up.

From the first of your dough you are to give a contribution to Yahweh throughout your generations.

And if you stray and do not observe all these commandments that Yahweh spoke to Moses,

all that Yahweh commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that Yahweh commanded and onward throughout your generations,

If it was done in error, hidden from the eyes of the congregation, then all the congregation is to offer one young bull of the herd as a burnt offering, as a soothing scent to Yahweh, with its grain offering and its drink offering as prescribed, and one male goat as a sin offering.

The priest is to cover over on behalf of all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it will be forgiven them, for it was an error, and they brought their present, a fire offering to Yahweh, and their sin offering before the face of Yahweh, for their error.

It will be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel and the sojourner who stays in their midst, for it was in error for all the people.

And if one living being sins in error, that being is to bring near a she-goat, one year old as a sin offering.

The priest is to cover over on behalf of the being who strays, by sinning in error, before the face of Yahweh, to cover over on his behalf, and it will be forgiven him.

For the native-born among the children of Israel and for the sojourner who stays in their midst, there is to be one instruction for you, for the one who acts in error.

But the being who acts with a high hand, whether native-born or sojourner, he reviles Yahweh; and that being is to be cut off from the midst of her people.

For he has despised the word of Yahweh and has broken his commandment. That being is surely to be cut off; her guilt is on her.

While the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the day of the sabbath.

Those who found him gathering wood brought him near to Moses and to Aaron and to all the congregation.

They left him in custody, for it had not been declared distinctly what was to be done to him.

Yahweh said to Moses: The man is surely to be put to death; all the congregation is to stone him with stones outside the camp.

All the congregation brought him out outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.

Yahweh said to Moses, saying:

Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: They are to make tassels for themselves on the wings of their garments throughout their generations, and put on the tassel of the wing a cord of violet.

It will be a tassel for you: you will see it, and you will remember all the commandments of Yahweh and do them, and you will not go scouting after your own heart and after your own eyes, which you go prostituting after them.

So that you remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God.

I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be God to you: I am Yahweh your God.
