Nehemiah7

It happened, when the wall had been rebuilt and I had set up the doors, that the gatekeepers and those who sing and the Levites were appointed.

I gave charge to Hanani my brother, and to Hananiah the official of the citadel, over Jerusalem, for he was like a man of stability and feared God more than many.

I said to them, The gates of Jerusalem are not to be opened until the sun is warm; and while they are still standing, let them shut the doors and hold them fast. And appoint watches of those who dwelled in Jerusalem, each man at his guard post and each man before his house.

The city was wide on both hands and great, but the people in its midst were few, and there were no houses built.

My God put it into my heart, and I gathered together the nobles and the officials and the people to have themselves enrolled by genealogy. And I found the document of the genealogy of those who came up at first, and I found written in it:
