Mark5

And they came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gerasenes.

And when He was exiting out of the boat, immediately there met with Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

who had the dwelling in the tombs. And no longer was no one able to bind him, not even with a chain,

because that he often, with shackles and with chains, to have been bound, and the chains to have been torn apart by him and the shackles to have been shattered, and no one was able to subdue him.

And through all times, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out and cutting himself with stones.

And now when he had seen Jesus from afar, he ran and he fell on his knees before Him,

and when he had cried in a loud voice, he spoke: What to me and to You, Jesus, the Son of the Most High God? I adjure You by God, may you not torment me.

For He was saying to him: Come forth, you unclean spirit, out of the man!

And He was asking him: What is your name? And he answered, he says to Him: Legion is name to me, because we are many.

And he was begging Him numerous times that He may not send them out of the country.

Now there was there near the hill a great herd of pigs feeding;

and all the demons begged Him, saying: Send us into the pigs, so that let us enter into them.

And immediately Jesus allowed them. And the unclean spirits, having gone out, entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea — were now about two thousand — and they were drowned in the sea.

And those now feeding them, the pigs, fled and proclaimed it to the city and to the country. And they went out to see what it is that having happened.

And they come to Jesus and see the man being demonised sitting and clothed and sound minded, the one who having had the legion, and they were afraid.

And those who had seen it related now to them how it happened to the one being demonised, and concerning the pigs.

And they began to implore Him to depart from their region.

And when He was climbing into the boat, the one having been demonised was begging Him that he may be with Him.

And now Jesus did not permit him, but He says to him: Go to your home, to your own, and declare to them as much as the Lord has done for you, and He had mercy on you.

And he departed and he began to proclaim in Decapolis how much Jesus did for him; and all were marveling.

And when Jesus was crossing in the boat again to the other side, a great crowd was gathered to Him, and He was beside the sea.

And behold, one of the synagogue rulers comes, named Jairus; and when he had seen Him, he falls at his feet,

and he begs Him much, saying that My little daughter is holding at the end, that having come you may lay the hands on her, so that she may be cured and she may live.

And He departed with him, and a great crowd was following Him and were pressing in on Him.

And a woman, any, being with a flux of blood twelve years,

and having suffered much under many physicians, and having spent all she had, and in no way having benefited but rather having come to the worse,

when she had heard the things concerning Jesus, had come up in the crowd behind Him, she touched his clothing;

for she was saying that If I shall touch even his garments, I will be healed.

And immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she knew in the body that she has been healed from the affliction.

And immediately Jesus, having known in Himself the power having gone forth out of Him, having turned in the crowd, was saying: Who touched my garments?

And his disciples were saying to Him: You see the crowd pressing in on You, and You say, Who touched Me?

And He was looking around to see the one who had done this.

And the woman, having been frightened and trembling, knowing what has been done upon her, came and she fell down before Him and she told Him all the truth.

And He said to her: Daughter, your trust has healed you. Go in wholeness, and be healthy from your affliction.

Still when He is speaking, they come from the house of the ruler of the synagogue, saying that Your daughter is dead; why still trouble you the Teacher?

And Jesus immediately, when he had ignored the word spoken, He says to the ruler of the synagogue: Fear not, only trust.

And He allowed no one to follow with Him except only Peter and James and John the brother of James.

And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and He beholds a commotion and weeping and much wailing,

and when he had entered, He says to them: Why do you make commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeps.

And they were laughing at Him. Then He himself, having put out all, takes with Him the father of the child and the mother and those with Him, and enters in where the child was reclining.

And taking of the hand of the child, He says to her: Talitha koum! Which is, being translated, O Little girl, to you I say, arise.

And immediately the girl arose and was walking; for she was of twelve years. And immediately they were amazed with great amazement.

And He instructed them strictly that no one may know this, and He commanded to be given to her to eat.
