Mark2

And He was entering again into Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He is in the house.

And immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more space, not even space at the door, and He was speaking to them the word.

And they come bringing to Him a paralytic, being carried by four.

And not being able to bring to Him on account of the crowd, they removed the roof where He was, and when they had broken it up, they let down the pallet where the paralytic was lying.

And now when Jesus had seen their trust, He says to the paralytic: Child, your sins are forgiven you.

Now some of the scribes were there sitting and reasoning in their hearts:

Why does this man speak thus? He blasphemes! Who is able to forgive sins except one only, God?

And immediately, when Jesus had known in his spirit that they themselves are reasoning thus within themselves, He speaks to them: Why do you reason these things in your hearts?

Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven, or to say, Arise and take up your mat and walk?

But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on the land, He says to the paralytic:

To you I say, arise and take up your mat and go to your home.

And he arose, and immediately, when he had taken up the mat, he went forth before all, so as for all to be amazed and to glorify God, saying that Never did we see thus.

And He went forth again beside the sea, and all the crowd was coming to Him, and He was teaching them.

And passing on, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and He says to him: Follow Me. And when he had arisen, he followed Him.

And it came to pass, in his reclining in his house, that many tax collectors and sinners were reclining with Jesus and with his disciples; for there were many, and they were following Him.

And the scribes of the Pharisees, when he had seen that he eats with the sinners and tax collectors, were saying to his disciples: Why is it that He eats and drinks with the tax collectors and sinners?

And having heard, Jesus says to them: Those being strong have no need of a physician, but those being sick; I came not to call the righteous, but sinners into change of heart.

And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting, and they come and they say to Him: Because of why do the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?

And Jesus said to them: Are the sons of the bridechamber able to fast in which the bridegroom is with them? As long as time they have the bridegroom with them, they are not able to fast.

However, the days will come when the bridegroom may have been taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.

And no one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on old clothing; then, lest the new patch tears away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear takes place.

And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; then, lest the new wine will burst the wineskins, and the wine is destroyed and the wineskins will perish; instead new wine must be put into new wineskins.

And it came to pass, He passing through the grainfields on the Sabbaths, that his disciples began to make their way, plucking the heads of grain.

And the Pharisees were saying to Him: Behold, why do they on the Sabbaths that which is not lawful?

And he himself says to them: Surely you did read what David did when he had need and he himself hungered, and those with him?

How he entered into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the loaves of the presentation, which it is not lawful to eat except only for the priests, and he gave even to those being with him?

And He was saying to them: The Sabbath was made on account of the man, and not the man on account of the Sabbath.

So then the Son of Man is Lord also even of the Sabbath.
