Mark13

And when he is going forth out of the temple, one of his disciples says to him, "Teacher, behold, what stones and what buildings!"

And Jesus answered and said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? Stone will never be left here upon stone which will never be thrown down."

And when he is sitting upon the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew were asking him in private,

"Tell us: when will these things be? And what will be the sign when these things may soon be accomplished, all of them?"

And Jesus, answering, began to say to them, "Take heed lest anyone may mislead you.

For many will come in my name, saying that 'I am he,' and they will mislead many.

When then you may hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not disturbed; for it must come to pass, but not yet is the end.

For nation will rise up against nation and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be earthquakes throughout places; and there will be famines and disturbance. These are the beginning of birth pains.

However take heed, you yourselves, to yourselves; for they will deliver you to courts, and in synagogues you will be beaten, and you will stand before governors and kings because of me, for a testimony to them.

And first it behooves to proclaim the good news to all the nations.

And now when they may lead you away, delivering you up, be not anxious beforehand what you may say nor devise; but whatever shall be given to you in that very hour, that speak; for you are not yourselves those who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

And now brother will deliver up brother to death, and father child, and children will rise up against parents and will put them to death.

And you will be hated by all on account of my name; however the one having endured to the end, he will be saved.

When then you may see the abomination of the desolation, which having been spoken of by Daniel the prophet, already standing where it should not — the one who reads, he should understand — then those in Judea, they should flee to the mountains;

and the one upon the housetop should not come down into the house nor go in to take anything out of his house;

and the one being in the field should not return to the things back, to take his clothing.

Then woe to those having pregnancy in the womb and to the ones nursing infants in those days!

Then pray that your flight may not happen in winter.

For in those days will be tribulation, such as never has been the like from the beginning of creation, which God created, until the now — and will never happen.

And unless the Lord shortened the days, not then would any flesh have been saved; but on account of the chosen, whom he chose, he has shortened the days.

And then if anyone shall say to you, 'Behold, here is the Anointed One,' or 'Behold, there!' you do not trust it.

For there will arise false Christs and false prophets and will give signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, even the chosen.

However you yourselves, take heed; behold, I have foretold to you all things.

But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,

and the stars will be falling out of the sky, and the powers that are in the skies will be shaken.

And then will they behold the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

And then he will send his messengers and will gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the end of earth until the end of the skies.

Now of the fig tree learn the parable: when its branch already may become tender, and may put forth the leaves, you know that the summer is near.

So also you yourselves, when you may see these things coming to pass, know that he is near, at the doors.

Amen, I say to you that this generation will never have passed away until these things, all of them, happen.

The skies and the earth will pass away, but my words certainly will not pass away.

Now concerning that day or the hour, no one knows, not even the messengers in heaven, nor the Son, only except the Father.

Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the appointed-time is.

It is like a man going on a journey, when he had left his house and had given to his slaves the authority, and to each one his work, and the doorkeeper he commanded that he may keep watch.

Therefore watch; for you do not know when the master of the house comes, or at evening or at midnight or when the rooster crows or morning;

lest, having come suddenly, he may find you sleeping.

Now what thing I say to you, I say to all: watch."
