Matthew8

Now when He was coming down from the mountain, great crowds followed Him.

And behold, a leper having come near was worshipping Him, saying, "Lord, if You shall be willing, You are able to cleanse me."

And He stretched out His hand and touched him, Jesus saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

And Jesus says to him, "See that you tell no one, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them."

Now when He was entering into Capernaum, Jesus, a centurion came to Him, imploring Him

and saying, "Lord, my servant has been laid in the house, paralyzed, grievously being tormented."

And He says to him, Jesus, "I myself, having come, will heal him."

And answering now, the centurion was saying, "Lord, I am not worthy that You may come under my roof, but only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

For I myself also am a man under authority, appointed, having soldiers under myself, and I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes, and to another, 'Come,' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Enact this,' and he enacts it."

Now when Jesus had heard, He marveled, and He said to those following, "Amen I say to you, no one so great a trust in Israel have I found.

Now I say to you that many from east and west will come, and they will recline with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens.

However the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth."

And Jesus said to the centurion, "Go, and as you have trusted, it should be done to you." And his servant was healed in that hour.

And when Jesus had come to the house of Peter, He saw his mother-in-law lain down and feverish.

And He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she arose and was ministering to him.

Now when evening had come, they brought to Him many being demonised, and He cast out the spirits by a word, and all those being sick He healed,

so that it may be fulfilled that having been spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases."

Now when Jesus had seen a great crowd around Him, He commanded to depart to the other side.

And one scribe, having come to Him, said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You shall go."

And Jesus says to him, "The foxes have holes and the birds of the skies nests, but the Son of Man has no place where He may lie the head."

Now another of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, allow me first to go and to bury my father."

But Jesus speaks to him, "Follow Me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead."

And He having climbed into the boat, His disciples followed Him.

And behold, a great storm arose in the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; however He Himself was sleeping.

And when His disciples had come to Him, they awoke Him, saying, "Lord, rescue us, we are perishing!"

And He says to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then when He had arisen, He rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

And the men marveled, saying, "What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"

And when He was coming to the other side, to the region of the Gadarenes, two being demonised, coming forth out of the tombs, met Him, extremely violent, so that not anyone was able to pass through that way.

And behold, they cried out, saying, "What to us and to you, Jesus, the Son of God? Are You come here before the appointed-time to torment us?"

Now there was, far off from them, a herd of many pigs feeding.

And the demons were begging Him, saying, "If You cast us out, allow, send us away into the herd of pigs."

And He said to them, "Go." And when they had gone out, they went away into the herd of pigs, and behold, all the herd of the pigs rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and perished in the waters.

Now those feeding them fled, and when they had gone away into the city, they related everything, including the matter of those being demonised.

And behold, all the city went out to meet Jesus, and when they had seen Him, they begged Him that He may depart from their region.
