And as Jesus had gone forth from the temple, he was going on his way, and his disciples came to him to point out to him the buildings of the temple.
And answering, Jesus said to them: Do you not see all these things? Amen I say to you, certainly not even one stone will be left here upon a stone which will not indeed be thrown down.
Now as he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him in private, saying: Tell us, when will these things be? And what is the sign of your coming and of the consummation of the age?
And Jesus answered and said to them: Take heed lest anyone mislead you.
For many will come in my name, saying: I am the Anointed One; and they will mislead many.
Then you will begin to hear of wars and rumors of wars. Behold, do not be alarmed, for it is necessary for all these things to take place, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in various places.
Then all these are the beginning of birth pains.
Then they will deliver you to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name.
And then many will fall away, and they will betray one another, and they will hate one another.
And many false prophets will arise, and they will mislead many.
And because lawlessness is to be multiplied, the love of the many will grow cold.
However, the one having endured to the end, he will be saved.
And this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
When therefore you may see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, already standing in the holy place — let the one who reads understand —
then those in Judea, they should flee to the mountains.
The one on the housetop, he should not come down to take the things out of his house.
And the one in the field, he should not return back to take his cloak.
Then woe to those having pregnancy in the womb and to those nursing infants in those days.
However, pray that your flight may not happen in winter nor on a Sabbath.
For there will be then great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, and will certainly never happen.
And unless those days were shortened, not any flesh then would have been saved; however, because of the chosen those days will be shortened.
Then if anyone says to you: Behold, here is the Anointed One, or here — do not trust it.
For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will give great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen.
Behold, I have foretold it to you.
Therefore if they shall say to you: Behold, he is in the wilderness — do not go forth; or, Behold, he is in the inner rooms — do not trust it.
For just as the lightning comes forth from the east and shines until the west, so will be also the coming of the Son of Man.
For wherever the carcass shall be, there will the vultures be gathered.
Then immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
And then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will behold the Son of Man coming on the clouds of sky with great power and glory.
And he will send his messengers with a trumpet call, a great voice, and they will gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens until their ends.
Now from the fig tree learn the parable: when its branch may already become tender and it may put forth the leaves, you know that the summer is near.
Thus also you yourselves, when you may see all these things, know that he is near at the doors.
Amen I say to you that this generation will never have passed away until all these things happen.
The skies and the earth will pass away, but my words will certainly not pass away.
However, concerning that very day and the hour no one knows, not even the messengers of the heavens, nor the Son, except my Father alone.
For as were the days of Noah, so will be also the coming of the Son of Man.
For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until that day Noah entered into the ark,
and they knew not until the flood came and took away all, thus will be also the coming of the Son of Man.
Then two will be in the field; the one is taken and the one is left.
Two women grinding at the mill; one is taken and one is left.
Therefore keep watch, for you do not know on what day your Lord comes.
Then know this, that if the master of the house had known in what time of night the thief comes, he would then have watched and would not then allow his house to be broken into.
Because of this you yourselves also be ready, for the Son of Man comes in that hour which you do not expect.
Then who is the faithful and wise slave whom his master has set over his household, to give to them the food in season?
Blessed is that slave whom his master, having come, will find thus doing.
Amen I say to you that he will set him over all his possessions.
However, if that evil slave shall say in his heart: My master delays to come,
and may begin to beat his fellow servants, then he may eat and he may drink with those being drunkards,
the master of that slave will come in a day in which he does not expect and in an hour which he is not aware,
and will cut him in pieces and will appoint his place with the stage-actors; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
