¹For behold, the day comes, burned as the fire-pot, and all the arrogant and all one who does wickedness will be stubble; and the day that comes will devour them, Yahweh of hosts said, which will not forsake to them root and bough.

²And to you, the fearing of my name, the sun of the righteousness will dawn, and healing in her wings; and you will go forth, and you will gallop as calves of the stall.

³And you will trample the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, in the day which I am making, Yahweh of hosts said.

⁴Remember the instruction of Moses my slave, which I commanded him in Horeb over all Israel, statutes and justices.

⁵Behold, I am sending to you Elijah the prophet, to the face of the coming of the day of Yahweh, the great and the dreadful.

⁶And he will return the heart of fathers over the children, and the heart of the children over their fathers; lest I come and I strike the land a devoted thing.
